1000wordsphotography 0 Posted July 18, 2006 Got up early to spend some time at the beach with Lou Ann and Trevor this weekend. This is what I felt more than what I saw. Link to comment
jvophotography 0 Posted July 18, 2006 great picture. I really like the isolated feel of it. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted July 18, 2006 okay, YES - the manipulation makes this good shot into a fabulous image. More even than the figure coming out of the haze, I love how you captured the pier. I don't think that I realized it was so LLOOOOONNGG. Great work, Regina! I had a great time!! :-) Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted July 18, 2006 Okay - after trying to find this shot again, I realized that you do not always put your "new stuff" in your "new stuff" folder. LOL! Link to comment
gordon_logue 0 Posted July 18, 2006 You're pretty fast to push the shutter and run down the beach to be in the shot. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted July 19, 2006 Hahaha, Gordon!! :-) You're right - I didn't consider that she's a brunette like I am. But ... she's younger and, um, thinner. :-D Link to comment
1000wordsphotography 0 Posted July 19, 2006 Glad you all like the manipulation. The original was pretty poor, rather dull in fact. I desaturated and added a bit of diffused glow filter. Burned in some of the wave details and tried to eliminate some of clutter in the sky portion by lightening it. It result was rather moody, and probably too soft for some tastes, but it fit the scene. I too had a great time Lou Ann! You taught me so much about my camera! I owe you one.... two... maybe three even! Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted July 20, 2006 The effect is surreal & dreamy. The jetty seems to be lost in the rising mist. Link to comment
