birteragland 1 Posted July 14, 2006 This was handheld,all my shots are handheld,don,t like using tripods, to much to cart them around in this wilderness.It was not taken at night, but the banks of the river are very dense with foliage which is why you might think it was taken at night, but no this is daytime.This shot was part of a sequence I took of the bird. birteragland 1 Posted July 17, 2006 We call it the red hawk here.I did not use a blind it was taken with the 400mm plus the 2X extension along the riverbanks in the bush here.Actually I have yet to use a blind, its quite wild where I am and I think it would be awkward to drag something like that with me.
