oswegophoto 1 Posted July 13, 2006 Not architecture in the usual sense, sure, but the massive shell, open to the sky and at the corners, looked so much like the start of a house of cards a block on each side, and so little like a building. A few more days, and they spoiled the effect by putting a roof on. Link to comment
schneekranich 0 Posted July 13, 2006 how interesting, one suspects some new world behind those opening walls, of course it's hard to decide about the space between the top frame and the wall corner, you chose a tension-loaded-one, nice! Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted July 16, 2006 Yeah, this works real well. It was there just for you, Don! The ratings are strictly comedy. I think they've lumped the Rate These Pictures board with the whole Nielson Family Rating TV package. Link to comment
oswegophoto 1 Posted July 16, 2006 Lionel, exactly, thanks. A theatrical set, perhaps? At this point, the structure was four massive simple planes and an insanely complex interior supporting gridwork; I'd never seen the like before.Andrea, thank you; the corners did resemble gaps into another reality. That is an interesting detail of this view; it made me prefer this corner to the other, even with the more dramatic shadows there.Jack, I appreciate your appreciation, and my moment of despair has passed. Y'know, it felt that way; I was shooting about 09:00 on a Sunday morning, and no one was around. I was able to stand and walk in the 6-lane street without much worry, composing with my feet. About the only traffic was the fellow on his bicycle. Link to comment
