Hello Ian, a good first attempt. A very good posture and setting, she has a nice smile and lovely hair too.

It's using the best light of the day, the golden hour, but is giving some over exposure in the highlights. I've recently bought a reflector, which is very useful for trying to even out the lighting when it's strong like this.
