ada-ipenburg 0 Posted July 11, 2006 This is a part of the typical arcade of castle Heeswijck (Netherlands) which history goes back to the 11the century. The castle has survived unsettled times of war and braved the elements. In my PS treatment I have tried to reproduce these heavy periodes by using dark colourtones to create a more dramatic look. I'll appreciate your constructive comments. Thank you, Ada. Link to comment
emilymiller 0 Posted July 11, 2006 Nice composition. The PS colors work perfectly. I am wondering why the frame is only on the left and right instead of all four sides? Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted July 11, 2006 Thank you Emily for taking the time to look and comment my picture. I'm glad you like the PS treatment. I didn't framed the bottom to create the feel you can step inside the shot. I don't know if it works like that for other people. It's only a feel that I have. I didn't framed the top only from aesthetical point of view. It would look illogical, I think. Thanks again for your kind words Emily, Ada:) Link to comment

jim kerr 0 Posted July 13, 2006 Ada, I like the look you have created with this image, sort of reminds me of some of the paintings of several hundred years ago.....You went to alot of trouble to get everything exactly right for the style you have created.......Jim Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted July 15, 2006 Dear Pnina, thank you very much for your kind words. And this version is my favourite too. Hi Jim, your comment really flatters me. Great to hear from you that this picture radiates the mood of past ages. And you have got me an idea: I will do an attempt to give this picture a real old painting-like look. By the way Jim, have you noticed the farmhouse at the left side? That is Tony's favourite! I'm thrilled to his reaction when he sees this picture after his return from holiday:) Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted July 16, 2006 I think the colors and sharpness recreate the atmosphere, Ada: dark and dramatic with those pointed arches opening to the sky. Excellent job you did. Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted July 19, 2006 I like this version of subtle colours & I like your treatment in PS. The crop of half arch on both sides balances the full arch in betwee, Your PS skills always amazes me. Link to comment
