sambal 0 Posted September 22, 2006 Emily, I especially like that faint line at the horizon: "Land in zicht!" Furthermore, about 60 years ago such 'botters' were the subject of my intense interest when I spent a holiday at Harderwijk where in the small harbour they still unloaded their catch of IJsselmeer fish. Ten years later, during my student days, botters where already used as party boats as fishing with them got out of fashion. Had some nice & wild sailing/drinking trips on botters! Thanks for sharing & cheers, Sam. Link to comment
emily_alkema 0 Posted September 26, 2006 You speak dutch and recognised Terschelling. Wow .. This old ship comes from Makkum. The fishing by motorship or sailing in old Klipper is still very populair. The old ships are expensive and people are willing to pay for a good time. The silence of the water is also perfect for our health and balance. Thanks Sam for the visit, Emily Link to comment
