nathan_ross 0 Posted July 10, 2006 Comments AND low ratings?!?! That's an outrageous request!!! (Hopefully it's obvious that I'm being sarcastic. It irritates me too.) My main comment regarding this shot would be tha the eyes of the wasp on the right aren't in focus, and I tend to think that portraits of any animals (humans, dogs, wasps, whatever) should have the eyes in focus. It's a neat composition. Is it a set shot, or are these live insects? I ask only because, if it's a set shot, perhaps a background colour that compliments / contrasts with the vivid yellow might look good, even if not realistic. Anyway, there's a few thoughts. Hope they're helpful. Cheerio, Nathan Link to comment
satee 0 Posted July 10, 2006 Dear Rabinder, Since we have asked for ratings, low or high are prerogative of the members, sometimes we do feel bad when ratings are low and without any suggestions or reasons. Initially I used to feel bad about it but now I take it in my stride. These are our brothers who always remind us, how so ever a great photo may be, but there are few in whose choice it does not fit. Any how good work is always good and one should always go on and on with it. This is a great series and I understand how difficult is to shoot it. I love it and hope to see it touching great hieghts. Your pics with description are source of knowledge without which they may be just nice close ups. LOL Satvinder. Link to comment
biswajit 0 Posted July 10, 2006 Very interesting shot again, like the composition. Regards Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted July 10, 2006 Very good composition and details,Rabinderji. As for low ratings,it happens to everyone, even the best. Those who rate 3/3 without any comments, are cowards.Quite often they have no portfolios to show us their works.PLEASE disregard those low ratings. Link to comment
niklas hallberg 0 Posted July 10, 2006 This is a great photo. Very close and it looks dangerous. Did you shoot with a remote control? Link to comment
giovannis 0 Posted July 10, 2006 As for the composition, this is probably the best of your series. Link to comment

birteragland 1 Posted July 12, 2006 Beautiful shot Rabinder. You will never get those 3/3 voters to say why they do it.I have come to the conslusion, why bother about it, they properly don,t even do photography themselves but get of on a high by doing this to us.But it does make you laugh, I have just finished working on my next publication, many of the photographs in that are ones I listed here and got very low ratings on.Keep doing what you love and ignore those idiots. stupski 0 Posted August 4, 2006 I have never seen yellow wasps like this before, so I am absolutely intrigued by your beautiful series. At times, they almost look cartoonish, but only because you have captured the details of the scene so well and given them "character". (P.S. The 3 people are abusers who enjoy trying to hurt other people. You are so much better than that.) Link to comment
