f2 0 Posted July 9, 2006 I think this would have been a much better photo if you had panned with the cable rider rather than having him blurred. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 9, 2006 Although (or perhaps, because) I'm a total beginner in photography, I feel the urge to express my opinion and disagree with the previous comment. I like this effect: the "warping" of the public behind the trajectory. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted July 9, 2006 Thanks for the second opinion Antonio. That's what I am trying to do - something different. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 9, 2006 i like it as is, as the facial expressions of the spectators contribute very much to the image. a picture full of joy, and one needn't always do what everybody does:-)). Link to comment
j_m_lee_photography 0 Posted July 9, 2006 Alec, I love the effect and glad that you've blurr the rider. Look how many faces with different expression. Well done. master. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted July 9, 2006 Klaus, Spencer, Chaba thanks for approving. What strikes me when looking at this image is the happy faces of the spectators. That's what I captured. It was shot at 500mm and still look tack sharp, the Bigma performed superbly. Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted July 10, 2006 I share your point of view, Alec. Superb sharp capture. Link to comment
cfimages 0 Posted July 10, 2006 Great idea - this is really thinking outside the square. To my eyes, it's the sharpness of the faces in the crowd that make this shot. Each with a different story. The blurred guy on the wire simply takes it into WOW territory. Excellent work, Alec. Excellent thinking. Link to comment
Bilal Zaheer 0 Posted July 12, 2006 very cool! I would have tried to focus on the moving on the rope, but this is much better with so many different expressions on peopel's faces. fun to look at all of them. even though the blurred girl in the foreground is blurred I can still see she's screaming in excitment. aepelbacher 0 Posted July 13, 2006 I think that you could have gone either way ... focus the flier/blur the crowd OR the opposite. Either way, it's a WAY fun image! I love all of the bold reds and whites. The square crop works very well. Link to comment
david_cassidy2 0 Posted March 13, 2009 A very dramatic and dynamic image. The motion simply adds to the excitement of the moment. Well done. -David :) Link to comment
