Captured this image at Neeldhara{Haridwar} where different streams

of river Holy Ganges merge to form the great Holy Ganges.

Thank you..

They were all sitting by themselves, it was seven in the morning. I just noticed them sitting, and there was no hint in my mind to capture them. The sun was covred by a thick layer of fog. I kept shooting here and there. Suddenly the sun started showing up on their side. When I looked in the viewfinder I thought this is some thing I was looking for. I moved and composed them and this was all by the grace of God I could do that.

Excellent composition, exposure and caption,Rakeshji. I am spellbound by the charm and ambience of this image. The couple sitting on the carved horizon in the background, are looking forward to their future. The old man in the foreground is introspecting or meditating. It might also be interpreted that when one turns old, the young turns their back. But it seldom happens with people with regard for Indian values.Best regards.

Hi Rakesh,

A well spotted subect for an image... i like the mood and colours in this image.. its got a very artistic look to it... the old man's pose is lovely.. the sun adds to the image too.. rules of thrids.

What i dont like in the composition is that the area of main interest is too cluttered, the couple, the man on the chair his sandels and the trees in the background make it all to cluttered and concentrated in one area... some space between the couple and man woud have given it more balance or having just the couple with the backdrop and this awesome mood would have made for a killer image.

This is just my opinion...

all the best

this is really quite good. Fantastic mood generated by the muted hues. Composition and perspective both work to enhance the relaxed feeling. Sweeping portrait orientation crop is a nice touch as well. May want to consider blurring the sun a bit to make it more diffuse. Good work, Cheers, Mauro.
