randall ellis 2 Posted July 5, 2006 I have to say, this is pretty facinating- there has got to be a story here! Your image makes me want to know more, which is great! I like the way you have a sense of place, especialy since the chair is obviously out of it's context. It looks a bit over-sharpened, but other than that, I really like this shot. If you've got the story, please let us know. - Randy Link to comment
wellbeyond 0 Posted July 5, 2006 There isn't too much of one to tell lol...this was taken on the back parking lot of a nearby church. The grounds around the church are somewhat strange in that the front half is green and healthy while the back half is barren and decaying (two other photos in my portfolio were taken on the church grounds: "Slide", which was taken in the front, and "Hoop" which was taken in the back). The chair was apparently left out to be thrown away...there are a few trash cans just outside of the frame to the right. I walked around it until I got the angle that best fit the feeling that went along with finding this unique chair sitting in the middle of a decaying church parking lot. Link to comment
randall ellis 2 Posted July 10, 2006 I think there is a lot of story to a church that only worries about curb appeal (or they would keep up the back of their property too!). Thanks for the backstory, it gives me even more to think about when I view this image. - Randy Link to comment
