A wide angle view of the many natural rocks formation which were originally covered with coal. Many hundreds years ago, there is a fire that burned away the layer of coal, & through many years of sun, rain, wind, the colours of this rocks formed naturally.

Very good composition,colors and framing,Cherlyn. Resembles Grand Canyon in formation and Yellowstone NP's Minerva Terrace in colors.

Beautiful picture, Cherlyn. The range of colour tones and stratification in the rocks is impressive. Assume that this was also taken during the Silk Road trip? Is it a panorama or an elongated crop? There is no clue in the photo such as a distant caravan, etc to tell the size of the rocks, but I guess they must be large. Rgds. - Jeremy (Homepage: www.pbase.com/jeremy101).
