I like the pastel soft colours. As far as the composition, I think you can do better. Try to play , crop, position, isolate... cheers Jana

The flash really hasn't worked here, that ugly shadow spoils the shape of the shell.

Try putting a reflective white card underneath, it will also pick out the detail of the shell.

Also (not wanting to be too critical) you should make this shot portrait rather than landscape because of the lines on the post and the ugly side confusion.
