She's got a great view!

But did you see the BIRD on her head??? ;-) I didn't see it until I was finished post-processing it, and looked at different details of it to check for detail....

I'm amazed at how green this looks - can't work out which direction you took this from. She is Justice and is standing on top of the Old Bailey - or Central Criminal Court to give it its full title. Hence the scales and the sword. Justice is often depicted in other representations as being blindfolded but in this case she has no blindfold so - yes - she has a great view!

Thanks, Colin - it was taken during my ascent (or maybe at the top of) the dome of St. Paul's Cathedral (may I remind everyone that it's 530 steps!!!) :-D

 

I don't care about the ratings on this one ... I really like it!! I am drawn to the way she is looking off into the distance from her perch. I also like how the gold in the statue stands out from the rest of the colors in the image. I'm totally biased!! :-)

You can find those gulls just about anywhere you don't expect them. I like the way she is looking over her land. Well seen and captured.

If we depended on ratings to determine what photos to post or leave posted, there wouldn't be very many photos on PN! Nice exposure - the statue really stands out from the busy background.
