Funny think about this image is that in two different corners of the

circuit, both on differnt days, he went to turn right and mid-apex,

he looked left (our of the turn and followed the camera. I doubt

that he saw me or anyone else, but it was very strange. Once was in

practice and the other (this one) was in qualifying. Strange.

Schumi says... "Damn that's a big lens"

He was going to use you as an excuse if he crashed. "It's never his fault"

Anyways.. I love the colors, framing and comp of the picture. I would try less cropping though, show more of the background.

Interesting shot. If you are going for a close crop focusing on the driver I would pull out more detail in the helmet & visor. Whites are blown out. Once again the copyright watermark is distracting & smacks of boasting in a forum where most pro level photographers simply sign their work.

I was actually waiting for him to pull over and ask me to park it for him this way the FIA stewards would leave him alone. :) Thank you for your kind words, I really appreciate it. I still have so many images to sort through and edit. I posted this one as is (no cropping) because it stood out. Next time I will try and pull back with a 1.4 converter and take your advice of including more of the background.

Hi Karen,

First le tme say I appreciate your comments... They only make me want to improve what I do so, thankl you. As for the highlights, when I edited the image in RAW the numbers looked good at around 245-250 for the whites so I didn't back off. However, when the time comes to print, I might push it a bit because I prefer a pure white in the reflections and black somewhere in the shadows. It's a personal preference and some people don't like it, but it's how I like to see the final image. On the net however, it would look washed out and a bit strong on the contrast.

As for the watermark, I started watermarking my images as stated because I found some of my pictures being lifted from here, cropped, and re-posted on F1 sites that make money from advertising (www.f1i.com was one of them). So from now on, I need to protect my images even if some find it distracting. I hope you understand.

This is an excellent human interest shot, if I can say that about Schumacher. This belongs on the cover of Autocourse's annual review of F1, except that Alonso will win the title again. Superb eye, Norman.
