bentes_world 0 Posted June 27, 2006 Again ... it's time for the annual summer camp for 'my' kids. School stopped the 23rd of June and tomorrow we will leave for the camp. First time for these kids .... the tenth and maybe last time for me. The kids are looking foreward to the camp ... and so am I. It's not just a camp ... it's a special camp: A music festival for kids ... a little like Woodstock and Roskilde Music Festival ( http://www.roskilde-festival.dk/object.php?obj=140000c&code=1 ). Kids playing and singing for each other, music for for young ones and a huge nature play ground together with a fun fair. They have been prepared before we go what it's allabout. What they dont know: At least one of them will get home sick. 2 of them will loose their pocket money. 7 of them will not like the food. 1-2 of them will wet their beds ( and we don't know who of them that will be because their parents ' forgot' to tell us. They don't know of the toilets being typical festival toilets and they have to stand i long lines everywhere. They don't know they are going to have their group photo taken just as the kids from last year did. I know I have to do it .. and I hope it'll be with a better result than last year. Link to comment

aepelbacher 0 Posted June 28, 2006 You're probably well on your way already ... but I hope that you have a wonderful time, Bente! This is SUCH a typical photo of a group of kids! I love the one with the hat over his face. I can just imagine the conversation and the resolve on his part and on yours. Kids are fun, aren't they?? Link to comment
donnaalbers 0 Posted July 1, 2006 Bente, I'm sure all these parents are going to sleep really well at night knowing that their children are in your capable hands. . . Link to comment
dennisdixson 0 Posted July 29, 2006 Great job Bente. I used to go off to camp with my boys each year. My wife went to the girls summer camp also. The kids are more or less grown up now so it has been a while since we have been to summer camp. I often thought it was funny that no one else from our group really bothered to document those trips. I may just have to make a cup of cocoa and dig out those old prints tonight. Link to comment
