pjmeade 12 Posted June 30, 2006 Thew worked stones show people used to make some kind of living out of this area, at one time. Then it got too hard and they left for the towns and to work in the industrial revolution. A nice piece of history. P Link to comment

I do not know much about that region, except of what I know from Emily Bronte's novel, and well, I know that Leeds was a big textile centre, and it appears also in some recent best sellers like "A woman of substance" (also filmed). cya Maria Link to comment
