subho basu 0 Posted June 25, 2006 A typical shot of a rose that is displayed by my local Rose Society. Someone suggested to spray water so that the water droplets give it some extra punch. I have seen other pro photographers using the technique. Is it okay or is it unethical to manipulate the subject/environment? I am an amateur and would like to hear from experienced people. Thanks. m_edwards1 0 Posted June 9, 2007 I like that this is in perfect focus from front to back. I'm not sure, but I think I would want to see either a tighter crop on the details of the rose - or else a looser crop so that I can see all of the edges of the entire flower. This is a touch decision, though, because sometimes to get the whole flower, you have to get so far away that you lose the details which make the flower interesting. :) Link to comment
