pnital 36 Posted June 24, 2006 Hi Lou Ann, I like the negative space and the way you composed it, I only think that the sky are looking a bit,(I look for the right word), maybe impassable. Try to add some light I think that may help, and maybe crop a little from the left hs. Tonal range of the wheel and lower part is nice. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted June 24, 2006 Thanks, Pnina. I really am not so committed to the sky on this one. In fact, it was the main reason I changed it to B&W, then sepia. The particular blue at the moment wasn't working well. I'll keep playing with it.... Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted June 24, 2006 Nice clean Sepia composition. That Ferris wheel is really big! Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted June 24, 2006 Howard - you'd love it! :-) It's more of a tourist attraction than a ferris wheel - sort of like the Space Needle that Wilson shows to us on a regular basis.... Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted June 25, 2006 Nice tones, Lou Ann. The sky could be a bit smoother, but it's not that big of a deal to me. This has such strong form, you could play with a lot of different tones and make it work equally as well. Link to comment
jmcconnell2 0 Posted July 3, 2006 Excellent composition, that great expanse of sky really shows off the wheel. Congrats Lou Ann. Link to comment
kleintje 0 Posted August 1, 2006 Having been away for quite a while, I (as usual) enjoyed going through all the posts you made, especially this series on the London Eye. I like this composition a lot, giving a view of the surroundings as well. The sepia tones, with the darker upper left corner, gives the overall a bit of a feeling like it's taken from an old promotion film (back in the days the world still used to be b&w). Link to comment
