White

A sports photographer at Lords Cricket Ground. I thought the white

lens against all the white seating looked pretty good. This is a

100% crop. My longest lens is the 70-200.

I love this shot the composition and contrast is spot on, in a way it's just a shame that railing is there, but the picture still works. This could be used to express what has happened to cricket... newspapers are still reporting it and there's lots of media hype but it's not bringing in the crowds that it used to

I like this a lot Peter, the surface image here is indeed the white lens against the sea of white seats - but I also feel this does a lot to show what a solitary hobby we enjoy. Did you approach him and ask for a 'go' with his big glass? :)

Hello All, thanks for looking. I would have loved to have a go with his long lens, but I'll have to wait for mt 300/f4 to turn up. He may well have shot at me, I would be the only person in the pavilion with a white lens on white seats.

Very well seen! I only wish there was a bit more space under the person, but looking at the full frame I realize that would have been kind of impossible maintaining the same pattern. I have the feeling that cricket games will soon have a lot more attendance, as tomorrow Portugal will trash the English football team ;) Cheers!

A great image, all that uniformity in just tones of one colour (white) - the kind of composition where the proportions do it all. The parapet is also set perfectly by the angle of view.

Peter, the texture is great and the photographer is the "cherry on the cream". real nice one.

Nice one, Peter! And a pretty nice lens too. I keep seeing all these amazing lenses at Wimledon, the World Cup, the cricket, etc etc. I would just crop the top a tiny bit as there is a small dark spot that distracts in the top row.

The crop works well, and the white seat background is effective. I was thinking the same thing - he may well have a similar photo of you!
