This was taken at Kings Dominion Park. I oversharpened this for

special effects. All comments are welcome. Cheers, Sondra

This is a great picture. The lines are fun to try and follow, and the surreal IR effect is interesting.

Sondra, a most interesting subject and of course you have done a fine job. On my monitor the image has the look of being sharpened, but that 's neither here nor there as far as I'm concerned.......I'm thinking it might make a good picture if it were shot at night as well....Just a thought, if the opportunity arose......Jim

Yes, Jim, I over sharpened it for the special effects. To me, it shows a dangerous or thrilling anticipation more so than a softer image.

Extra ordinary almost futuristic picture Sondra. I think you've done an excellent job to choose for a B&W version and to sharpen the picture to reach that special effect.

Most of the time I love trees as a kind of frame but in this case I think the composition would have looked even more stronger and stylish than it already does without the branches and leaves at the upperpart and at the bottom. But I guess that probably it was impossible for you to took the shot from an other point of view. It's also possible that you don't share my opinion. Anyhow, it's an outstanding and very surprising image. Greetings, Ada:)

Sondra, I do like the effect, it is sort of a semi posterization. And now that you have told me, it does give the viewer a certain felling of tension/nervousness......Jim

This is magic! A world of its own! And so many shades of grey... I find it spectacular and very refreshing, very original. Regards, S.

I love this! I'm not a big fan of amusement park rides, although I go with a school group to King's Dominion every year. (We were there on 6/14.) But this is a wonderful and different presentation of IR. The lines in the coaster are a fabulous photographic element ... and I love the reflections in the water below. I also love how IR photography with trees always makes it look like Autumn!! Wonderful eye for this, Sondra!
