jmoody 0 Posted June 22, 2006 Any thoughts? I'm trying to work further on a coffee related theme (couple of other expamples in this folder that I'd love help with as well) for a showing I have coming up in September at a local coffee house. Composition? Sharpness? Lighting? (natural through the window, set up on my dining room table with some black sweat pants as the background) etc..? Thanks to all Link to comment

jmoody 0 Posted June 23, 2006 Thank you Erwin & Mehmet! These shots always feel so risky (for me anyway) and it's nice to see that I wasn't THAT far off :-) Link to comment
kentb2 0 Posted June 26, 2006 Jeff I would vote this as best in your series. Again I think it's your aggressive crop and that makes this work. It becomes abstract to a degree. The shadows help define it and the color is brilliant. Sweat pants huh? One of those new professional photographer tricks? Nice exploration. Link to comment
jmoody 0 Posted June 27, 2006 Oh come on Kent! You really think I'm the only one doin' the sweat pant thing? It's so obvious that all those black and white nudes where the background simply melts away are the same technique :-) My only problem now is that I wanna try some with a black coffee cup that I have & use a white background... hmmm, what to use?! Thanks for stopping by. Glad you liked it Link to comment
jmoody 0 Posted June 28, 2006 Of course I have a really big pair of... oh, wait... you finished that sentence differently than I thought :-) No, I'm a boxer-type-o-guy. Maybe a dress shirt will work. We'll see Link to comment
