Yes, yes, yes, I admit that I am biased towards such photos - but can anything else transmit better the peaceful atmosphere, the silence of that time, when it is the small and the little that is more important that the big and the mighty?

 

Thodori, I was back in Greece for a moment! Anybody that has been there caught in such a scene will understand.

Theodoros, there is nothing I would say Nick didn't say in his comment. I'm longing too for those times. When I'm looking at this place the entrance of the school in which my grandfather was a teacher and principal comes to my mind! Well chosen tone, not modern sepia, but the original tone of an old picture.
