This really is quite different and very good indeed. I couldn't quite work out if it was a self portrait. It appears you are trying to give an insight into the person you have photographed. I really do feel you are trying to communicate something here but I am not sure what.

Not yet, Daily, but I would not be surprised if my niece got it in short.

 

David, it's my niece and favorite model. Yes, I do want to give a message, but also want each watcher to interpret it his/her way.

A very nice portrait of your lovely niece. I had to copy it to my laptop and darken it a bit to see the image. My 60 year old eyes are about 20 years past their prime. Not that I'm suggesting any changes to the way you have shown this Paula. I think it is great, as is!

Great concept and well executed, Paula. I might like it a touch darker, but do like the high-key treatment here.

Paula, I thought this was you there for a bit as I think I see resemblance to pictures I seem to remember of you. This is beautifully done. Perhaps those who requested a tad more definition might be correct but I think only a tad as too much would destroy the reflective dreaminess of the mood. Nice.
