ada-ipenburg 0 Posted June 16, 2006 Castle Heeswijck; a pearl amongst the castles in the Netherlands. What you see is just a small part of the building. I like to hear your thoughts and constructive critiques. Thank you, Ada. Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted June 16, 2006 Thank you for your comment Roberto. No, I haven't tried this one in black and white. Do you think it would work better? In some cases it can work out very well. B&W photography seems to be a hipe at the moment. It even seems to pretend a way of art. But to be honest; I'm not very fond of b&w. But perhaps I will do an attempt to find out what works the best here. However thanks again for your contribution, Roberto. I really appreciated it. Ada:~) Link to comment

tony georgiadis 0 Posted June 17, 2006 ADA I lovethe way you chose to shoot YOUR SUBJECT IN PORTRAIT MODE WITH THAT GREAT TREE ON YOUR LEFT IT ADDS SO MUCH TO THE WHOLE MOOD WITHTHATGREATSKY TOO good use of depth-of field too. composition is a matter of taste of course but it makes the difference between an average run-of-the mill shot and something you can be proud of Link to comment
Link to comment
richard hans 0 Posted June 19, 2006 Such a beautiful & clear scenery, exquisite composition, really effective with side light, lovely tonal range, a very tasteful image, Ada!!! Best regards. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted June 19, 2006 Ada, that castle looks so interesting that I think you can do a serries just rooming around and take other parts of it. Light is very good, as well as composition, and tonal range, Glad to see you posting again. Hugs, Pnina Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted June 20, 2006 Like Roberto, I think it will be excellent in black & white. But in colours, I think it could be better with more blue, because your sky is yellowish and the green of the trees is too pale. It seems like if you were hesitating between the colour and the sepia treatment.Pity that you are not fond of black & white because my last uploaded photos are in black & white. I hope you will visit them even though. Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted June 20, 2006 Beautiful view, angle. The tree and the part of the castle we see make an excellent entrance, give great depth to the image. Love the sepia tone, too. Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted June 21, 2006 Thank you all very much for the time you took to look and comment my picture. I'm glad that the most of you like the colourtones I have used here. I've choosen these tones very conscious. No hesitation between sepia or whatever Henri. I have searched for a soft silvery/golden glow and I have reached exactly the result I had in my mind. It's normal that each pc screen has it's own colourtones so perhaps my sky looks a bit yellow on your screen Henri. O and besides, though I'm not such a lover of black and white for landscapes it will not stop me to take a look at your pictures. Warm greetings to you all my dear friends, Ada. Link to comment

ada-ipenburg 0 Posted June 29, 2006 Hoi Bianca. Groetjes, Ada:~) Link to comment
