Guest Guest Posted June 14, 2006 Wonderful image, full of compassion and affection. A human portrait that takes us into the subject. I think this is one of your best. It is good that he is not looking at the camera. He is in thought, which puts us into thought as well. The bit of chair showing behind him, seems more of an embrace by a comforting hand of an unseen admirer. Great work. Link to comment
atkphotoworks 0 Posted June 15, 2006 Paul, this is a striking portrait. I like the dark all around. His hand and head just pop out of it. Link to comment

fleetwheels 0 Posted June 15, 2006 Character, sympathy, depth ........... lost for superlatives.... superb feeling and excellent execution. I am totally bored by same-y clinical 'white back-cloth' portraits. This really shows how mundane their technique is! Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted June 17, 2006 Excellent portrait. Such wonderful detail & such a "bored" expression. Super! Link to comment

wp 0 Posted September 13, 2007 IMHO i think the "Dragon Effect" is to much. It looks like its right out of PS vrs a camera. Also i think this would be alot stronger with detail in the eyes.. Looks like its too burnt in the face and over dodged in the hair and beard. Also i would of cloned out the chair behind this man is distracting to me. Take Care Weston Link to comment
