jerry ting 1 Posted June 23, 2006 Charles, great color tone indeed and I like the curve on the left. I have not yet 'truly' photograph Dumbarton even though I've been living in Fremont for about a year now. It is a really beautiful bridge. I spent most of my time on the other side of the bridge (Don Edwards SF Bay National Wildlife Refuge) taking pictures of birds and other wildlife. It's about time to give Dumbarton a visit. Thanks for showing this. Link to comment

soenda 0 Posted February 1, 2008 I'm immediately partial to the color combination of blue gray and gold. It resonates in low slung sunlight as if from visual harmonics. The photo has beautiful basics, built as it is from water, stone and sky. Each is rich with surface detail. Something, perhaps the wake of a boat, created wonderful wavelets running perpendicular to the bridge and its reflection. The water's surface confers intense energy on the reflected bridge. It seems to vibrate in the picture. Meanwhile, the spidery lampposts seem to reach for the clouds as if they intend to knit a fleecy sky cloth. Link to comment
