This was the model's favourite from the shoot I did with her. I thought I would post it so she could see what others thought about it.

Feedback appreciated.

I like this one. I think her face could be a little brighter/better lit - seems a tad dark. Her face is very striking. Cheers!

You probably would guess that I would like this image. The pose is very strong and the composition is solid. For me, the strongest point is the facial capture. Her poise as a professional is evedent as is your talent in putting it together.

This had to be a black and white image.

Daniel, Thanks for the honest critique. I don't see the face as being dark although I would acknowledge her right eye is a little dark. I feel it adds mystery to the image.

Owen, Shall I say, I was hoping you would like it. This was the model's favourite from the few hours we had together. It was not mine. I will post my favourite later. I hope you will like it at least as much as this.

It is interesting what you say about this image being in B&W. This model suits B&W very much. Of all the pictures I took of her, we both agreed that those in B&W were the best.

David, I like the shot. The lighting on the face for me is just fine, though just a litle more around the eys may improve it further. What disturbs me just a fraction is the intensity of the light at her mid section, which draws the eye there repeatedly. Well, these remarks are from a point and shoot photographer that works with flash .. sorry! The subject matter is strong however. PS. Wouldn't you have scolded me a while back for trimming the top of her head off?

John, Perhaps the light around the mid area is a bit bright but I am not sure my eye is drawn to it the same way yours is.

As for scolding you about the top of the head being missing! Maybe I would have, but it would have depended on how you did it.

Thanks as always!

David, this is a really fine portrait. The light on her face is fine with me. Her "mood" doesn't seem to warrant more light.

Two great subjects. I wish I had access to either one. I'm way too much of an amateur to comment on technical details but the lighting works for me giving a hit of mystery as previously stated. Great work, up to your usual high standards.

Stephen, You say, " I'm way too much of an amateur to comment on technical details...." Don't ever think this. I post photographs here to gauge peoples' reactions to them. Your opinion about this (or any photograph) with regard to any technical merits are just as valid as anyone else. In any case, I find critiquing the photos of others as a good way to critique my own. Strange as it may seem I don't like all the photos I post here. That said I do like this one.

Thanks a lot.
