markboyer 0 Posted June 13, 2006 I think this one of the more successful of the face juxtapositions. The colors and lines work well with the shape and dark tonality of the face. Were you in an eerie mood? Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted June 13, 2006 I came across the background shot, which was a sunset picture taken from a moving car, and figured it could work well with something. I've always liked my David/monk picture, so tried that combination. Link to comment
paula grenside 0 Posted June 14, 2006 Great effect in this, Kim. It made me think of Jane Eyre. Excellent work. Link to comment
richard hans 0 Posted June 14, 2006 Fantastic capture & excellent work for unusual effect, really pleasing to the eye!!! Best regards. Link to comment

jasonwilliamsphotography 0 Posted June 16, 2006 Neat shot, I love the facial expression and color in this shot, neat effect! Were any filters used on this? Is this multiple images? Well done, and interesting:) Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted June 17, 2006 Thanks, everyone. This has a blurred sunset as the background. The other image used was already a compilation of my son's face merged with a concrete garden monk. So it's really 3 images altogether. Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted June 17, 2006 Great bit of PS work, Kim. The colours and tonal range make for a dramatic image. I can see it as a CD cover if you can persuade either David or the monk to become a rock star :-) regards - Colin Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted June 17, 2006 Colin, funny you should say that - my #2 son is working on a CD right now, but this is my #3 son and he is the only NON-musical son out of four!! Thanks for visiting. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted June 18, 2006 This is great work, Kim, although the vertical striations made me think that I was looking at the face of a woman with long hair at first. I must say that nothing that you do matches those wonderful outdoor pictures for me, whether you're shooting birds or boats. --Lannie Link to comment
abintraphoto 0 Posted June 18, 2006 Sorry to intrude again but I can't get over how much he looks like me ... Very Nice Image Kimi .... Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted June 19, 2006 Yes, the eyes are very similar. (David, NO, this man is NOT your dad!!!). :) Lannie, I posted a picture just for you. Link to comment
gaetanchevalier 5 Posted June 20, 2006 I like the creativity of this shot. Nice idea well executed. Bravo. Link to comment
thomas_collins1 0 Posted June 26, 2006 Now this is a very eye-catching composite Kim. Looks like it would be a good album cover for a contemporary band. ;-) Thomas Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted June 27, 2006 Thanks, guys! Thomas, I may be able to talk #2 son into using it as he's working on a CD. However, he has already scooped one of my cat "creations" for the cover so I don't know if he'd be crazy about his younger brother being on his CD cover instead! Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted July 2, 2006 Jane Eyre? Why doesn't it surprise me that your sons have musical talent. Creativity begets creativity? This is a SUNSET!! Fabulous ... I had to look again to make sure that I could see it. I doubt that Ken STILL looks like that ......... or do you think ........ NO! okay ... I've made more comments about the comments than the image ... It's a bit on the dark side, but VERY clever & creative! Link to comment
