kahkityoong 0 Posted June 14, 2006 Great capture of this panned shot. Is that a reflection by the side of the road? Link to comment
namurray 0 Posted June 14, 2006 Thanks very much for looking and commenting Kah. The blue and white at the side of the track isn't a reflection but the beginning of the track marking coming into the corner. Kind regards, Neil Link to comment
geoffpowers 0 Posted June 15, 2006 Just great! Can you share ISO F-stop & shutter speed? I'm going to be doing my first auto race photos next weekend and could use the advice. Thanks for such a great shot. Link to comment
namurray 0 Posted June 15, 2006 Thanks very much for looking and commenting. This one was taken at 1/125th, f16, 210mm handheld and ISO400. I tried shutter speeds from 1/60 up to 1/125 on various panning shots during the day but found that at 1/80 and lower the cars weren't acceptably sharp. Although I have photographed motorbike racing several times this was my first attempt at car racing. In both these sports I find my number of "keepers" pretty low, mainly due to autofocus problems. All the best with your track photography. I look forward to seeing some shots on Photo.net. Kind regards, Neil Link to comment
