stevespencer 0 Posted June 12, 2006 This kind of subject is interesting to me, because of the textures and shapes that can be found. Old wood is the best for this. On your image, I don't know if it is intentional, but it looks very purple/blue to me, and I think it would be imporoved by balancing it to a more neutral shade, or maybe even using black & white for it. Just my opinion. -Steve Link to comment
baerbel 0 Posted June 12, 2006 Thank you for your suggestion, Steve. I did use a blue PS filter, as the actual color was too gray. I toned it down just a bit - better? :) Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted June 13, 2006 Yes, the image is wonderful but the blues look unnatural. I tried unsuccessfully to modify this image into browns, but finally just darkened it and went with grayscale. I think that would work best for this one. Link to comment
baerbel 0 Posted June 13, 2006 Shawn, thanks, but I tried several other colors as well and liked blue the best. Picasso had a blue period, I guess I will stick with a blue pix! :) Link to comment
johne37179 29 Posted June 14, 2006 Barb, did you take any close ups of the textures here? Link to comment
