aepelbacher 0 Posted June 12, 2006 Just for people like Howard. :-) These capsules that you ride in on the London Eye are SO sturdy. It's not like a ferris wheel!! For those of you visiting for the first time, there are several other pictures of the London Eye in this folder, as well as several images taken of the city of London taken FROM the Eye. Enjoy. For this image, I needed to do some perspective straightening to make vertical the white posts on either side (inside the winding stairs). Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted June 12, 2006 Here is a detail from this same image to get you closer to the folks riding inside the capsule. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted June 13, 2006 It's a beautiful shot, Lou Ann, but I have it on good authority that you got it by stealing one of the sample shots taken with the Canon 1Ds Mark II from dpreview.com. --Lannie Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted June 13, 2006 So, Lannie, are you saying that Canon ought to donate one of their 1Ds Mark II to my cause? ;-) Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted June 15, 2006 Sounds good to me, Lou Ann. You are a prolific photographer, and you travel all over. If Phil Askey at dpreview.com can get every freebie that comes along, why shouldn't you get at least one? You're a walking (and flying) advertisement for Canon DSLRs. --Lannie Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted June 17, 2006 Lou Ann, I like the amazing collection of lines and shapes in the background with the gondola in the middle - nice contrast. What do you think about cropping left and bottom like this? (Please note frame is untouched :-) Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted June 17, 2006 Interesting that you left the frame untouched, Colin! :-) I like your crop! Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted June 18, 2006 Interesting shot, Lou Ann. I like what Colin did in cropping for artistic value, but yours shows more scale. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted June 18, 2006 Very busy Lou Ann, but a difficult subject, but I like the clarity of the cell the people are shown in. Link to comment
sarahunderhill 1 Posted June 20, 2006 And with a blue sky! I think it's busy too, but we get to see all the detail up close. Link to comment
v 0 Posted June 20, 2006 Oh, wow! Lou Ann, this is quite a sight! I love the clarity and the colours, really nice work :) Link to comment
