donnaalbers 0 Posted June 12, 2006 Thanks for the comments Terry, Julio and Kim. . . oops! this was taken with my 105 macro handheld. . . the colors are real here. . . this dragonfly was very bright intense red. . hard to miss him. . . I have been told that it's possible to use the big lens with kenko tubes for bug photography. . I'm thinking about trying it. . . Link to comment

timnichols 0 Posted June 17, 2006 Nice shot. The background is really interesting and the dragonfly is amazing. What was in the background? That seems to be the greatest challenge for me in trying to capture these. Link to comment
donnaalbers 0 Posted June 19, 2006 Hi Tim, thanks for your comment. . .this was taken around a little artificial pond surrounded by an assortment of reeds of different colors crisscrossing each other. . I was surprised to see how the background came out with the DOF effect. . . not what I had expected at all. . . Link to comment
