Maiden ala Peri

From a recent photoshoot.

 

While it was not my intention to emulate John Peri, I do feel this image is very Peri- ish.

 

Feedback appreciated.

I immediately liked this photo, but had to think carefully for a few minutes before deciding why. The girl remains glamorous despite her rather suburban backdrop, reminding us that she is intrinsically beautiful and has no need to rely on glamorous surroundings to bolster her attractiveness. I think it also has a private quality about it, insofar as she might be unlikely to pose in these surroundings professionally so perhaps she is "off duty" and, quite literally, "putting her feet up".

 

Lighting, pose and expression are all spot-on. I am drawn a little to the tightness of her stocking-tops which, perhaps only to me, suggest real-world (ie, non-glamour) issues of comfort. But this simply brings me back to the private, off-duty feel of the image.

David, I don't look at all like that and I have white hair, but I like the photo!

I had a mirror on the wall like that over my couch until I changed apartment. It's quite a nuisance actually, though it fits better into the composition above than it usually did in my shots. Well, let's see some more along these lines, I get confused too often by your subliminal messages. This one I understand.

 

I like this a great deal and it makes me think of John as well although John does not look that good in fishnets.

 

The composition is excellent and the diagonal of her legs puts the right amount of tension in the imaga as a whole. The colors are right and the lighting is suiperb.

 

I truly hope I will see more from this session. The young woman is remarkably beautiful.

Steven, Your comment is received very well indeed. It is almost as if you know this girl. Being honest, I didn't see much of what you saw until you pointed it out to me. The girl is a professional model. She asked me to take some photographs of her at her home. So yes! She is off duty and perhaps she is relaxing.

 

John, OK John! 'Maiden ala style of Peri' was just too long a title but I take your point. It's bad news when a Frenchman is teaching me English. "... one or two more along these lines." Perhaps later! No messages here, subliminal or otherwise. Thanks as always.

 

Owen, Yes Owen! It is nice of you to compliment the image first and then the model. Kind as you are, I think maybe you got things the wrong way round in this case.

 

I never have seen John in fishnets and quite frankly I have no desire to. That said, I think you are probably correct.

I think this is very nice.

One could call it bussy, but I really love it. It's as simple as that!
