Kim, I think this a really outstanding image. The comp and light are intensely beautiful and produce a markedly artistic feel. I've been fooling around with grainy effects lately, too; you've done it well here. This is really a gorgeous image.

Kim, I like how you experiment and come up with interesting images. The colors draw me in and the composition works well. You have really grown in the last year and your work has become sophisticated and more complex.

This is two separate images - cactus flowers and then the leaf by itself. I used layers and played around with texture and hue/saturation until it was where I wanted it to be. Thanks for commenting!

Kim, this is outstanding work. Your use of colour and light here are as brilliant as the strokes of a fine painter. The extreme grain adds a new dimension to this that is simply beautiful. Well done. -David

Nice job! I like the graininess of this photo which goes counter to what usually is done with such subject. Cheers, J

This most certainly appeals to one's eyes in one form or another.

The contrasting colors and wonderful lighting, the chosen composition, ... excellent!

I love that you always see things in a very creative light! This is wonderful ... it never would have occurred to me to put these two images together ... yet they look like they were originally just one image. Great work!!

Boy, Lou Ann, you've been very busy going through my NEW WORK folder today! Thanks - I always appreciate your visits! You were one of the first people to leave comments on my work in the "early days".

Hi Kim! Same back at you ... it's always a treat to hear your comments on my images. I'm trying to spend LESS time sitting like a zombie in front of my computer these days ... yet I still want to keep up with my PN "friends" ... so I'm often torn. When I have the time/inclination, I try to catch up with some of my favorite people. What's it been now ... maybe 3 or 4 years???

Just over 3 years, I think. I joined in May '03, but had been on a little before that. I seem to go through spurts with checking out PN - not much during the week and then sometimes catch up on the weekend. It's been a great learning tool for me!
