Those strings? hahha... I couldn't do anything with them!!! the thing I'm thinking about is the darkness of the photo. isn't it too dark?

I knew it was going to be possibly disputed but I removed the nose gunk from her upper lip anyway. In my opinion and I speak only for myself, if this was a documentary, travel or a record shot, I would have left the stuff intact. But, since it is titled "innocence" and presented as, more or less a portrait, I would rather not see the dirt which also act as a distraction from her pretty face and the "innocent' look she is giving us. i would not have a problem with that kind of a distraction on a face like thishttp://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=4407411

Mohsen, why she/he was crying?

I don't know at all. Babies sometimes cry but who knows the reason? I gave hime a cookie and he calmed a little down. you can see the cookie in his hand in the photo in comments of afghan girl image.

A really tender shot. And the other one too, but I'd rather prefer this one. That look is impressive and sad, and you knew how to take it. Regards.

Good crop & tones & I would keep the original 'dirt' as I also like it natural but remove the strings. It is in a most awkward position.
