Grotesque!! Unfortunately does not seem to be art by any means. I shall wait for others' comments to see if I am right. Sorry.

I never claimed any of these images were art...just documents that describe a very small segment of American society. Human behaviour on the fringes of a society are more interesting to me then the autonomous mainstream. Obviously photo net is a global site with photographers from around the world showing their images. And I am sure many are offended by these photos for cultural and religious reasons. I apologize to those people. However I would say that pretending something doesn't happen will not stop it from happening. If you are offended please walk on by. I know some people are interested in these images.

Arun, not all photography has to do with art. As Kent noted, this is more of a documentry type shot and not intended as art. Even though this photo depicts nudity, it does not seem to violate the site's terms of use therefore Kent does have the right to post it. There have been several other photos that have been posted that do clearly violate the site's terms of use, and the typical rebutal is "don't like it, then don't look at it" Well, that's kind of hard to do when it's displayed in the critique forum for public vieiwng.

Oh yeah, your statement "I shall wait for others' comments to see if I am right."

Why do you need validation? If you think this photo offends you, you have that right. You don't need anyone else to agree with you to think that way.

Kent and Will, thanks for your response. It's not that my religious or cultural sentiments are hurt. My only observation was that after all by this photograph what are we trying to show? If some one uploads a picture of brutally murdered human being with entrails coming out or skull opened up, will we appreciate it or will that photo be the only document to prove that murders keep happening in our cities. In my opinion, this picture does not serve any purpose. Nudity has been depicted in so many photographs on photo.net,some of them definitely represent art and/or eroticism. Of course one is free to upload and other is free not to look at, but can't there be a common minimum acceptable ethics to it? Thanks again.

Arun I don't get it. This is an interesting image. The relationship between men and women is a valid subject matter. This photo captures one small moment in that relationship. I wish I could put this much drama in every photo I take. Look around...people are taking pictures of rocks in their backyards. I have rocks in my backyard...
