This image would be just wonderful for the cover of "Ghost Traveler"! So, we all know what happens when you disappear for a while, a great deal of creativity is brewing!

Very nice work. I like the bubble details, a shame they do not come through in the regular size presentation. Cheers, J

I quite like it but something is bothering me about this image, something i call forced surrealism, the invisible man is pointless to me. Nowadays surrealist work became a product of simple formulas: remove this, add that, chuck some things together and arrive at something that makes people think got deep psychological meaning to it. I had the tendency myself but at one point my guts told me "no more". One Maggie Taylor out there is way enough.

I?d go for a simple story here, focus more on atmosphere than hollow symbols, I?d remove the invisible man or make him visible (cos I like umbrellas ?but then I?d make it overcast) . The image of the girl making bubbles as she waits for the train has got enough beauty to it; you don?t need to overdo it with strange invisible men just to make it more surreal.

In terms of aesthetics the composition is nice; the perspective is worked out very well. Some things are conflicting though. The girl looks very modern and she?s got a brand new kitten toy and they both sit on classic looking trunks, Id make it more consistent, probably go for the classic and make the girl?s clothes look likewise and give her some vintage doll to, (perhaps she could hold an umbrella). The sky?s got to much texture to it, its distracting and makes it look to ?photoshopy?, try a simple sky instead, and you will get better depth?I think. But it all might be a matter of personal taste. Still its quite an impressive work.

Interesting and fun. Definitely makes you look and ponder all the hidden meanings there could be within.

dear Lissa!

I like surrealism and good-overcrowded pictures so your idea works for me. I suggest closer crop-in order to lose perspective but gain details (see attach). My remark is also that you devoted a little time and patience with invisible man chin - looks like someone did it in hurry

Your work on the ?Imagination Station? tells a story of Freight Railways and Passenger

Service.

The passenger equipment in the back track represents trains that no longer run.

The invisible man represents the Conductors, brakemen, and Flagmen who ran the trains across the country and through everyone?s back yard.(hoggers count too)

The umbrella represents the safety of all passengers by conductors and crew. The white gloves represent the way Train crews looked after their passengers; if they were aware or not.

The little girl represents all passengers who travel with a feeling of adventure and wonder. The bubbles are wish thinking, of trains no longer running.

The freight train is the reality, with lip service of their safety. Good thing they are not airplanes. I know; in my other life I was a railway conductor for 35 years.

All your other surreal works are good, and do have a story. Technical, do not worry about your pictures. Everyone will like them or not. Light is important.

A very creative and interesting image with a ghost-like train coming in to pick up a headless man and a child. The composition is very good in that your eye goes right to the light colored clothing of the child then up to the headless man and down the length of the real train to the ghost train and back to the two figures. The composition keeps your eye in the picure frame. The exposure is perfect as it shows all the detail in the red bricks andrailroad tracks.
