eric stolk 0 Posted June 4, 2006 a little understated in color, but very nice composition Link to comment
.th 0 Posted June 4, 2006 love the contrast, ehh, - the lack of it that is. otherwise, agree with eric...! and the "naturalness", effortless of it. best - th Link to comment
sebastian free 0 Posted June 5, 2006 A great shot. The idea is great!!. I wish I could see some more (just a bit of the first dog. The colours seems faded Did you use shadows highlight? In that case I would reduce the intensity of the effect. Just some opinions, the pic is greaT!! Link to comment
frank_p 0 Posted June 5, 2006 Thanks Eric, Thorir and Sebastian. Yes, ideally the white dog should have been a bit more to the left, stretched preferably. Unfortunately, they wouldn't listen to me or give me a second try... As to processing: picture was taken in RAW and then processed in Raw Shooter Eseentials, using perhaps a bit too much the 'Fill light' function and not enough contrast. Link to comment
kentb2 0 Posted June 11, 2006 Color and processing aside I think it's your composition, subject matter and POV here that is catching people's attention. Particularly the crowd you've attracted. A very perceptive group of photographers. I like it. The crop is unusual. I can see the protective cone but not the dogs face. The angle is at the dog's eye level and the horizon is crooked. It looks like the camera view is from the head of dog. Quickly sniffing and looking around. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted November 8, 2006 Exactly the effect I'd like to achieve when I'm trigger happy and on my game. What a great dynamic composition, I think our collared friend just stuck his head out of my screen snatched a donut off my desk. Link to comment
mark_q 0 Posted November 22, 2009 Going down with WA certainly helps. I'm gasping for air in admiration. Also, just see the perfect timing... yummie ;-) Link to comment
