There is only every 10 years water in that place.The strong blue comes from the wet sand, that reflect the blue sky. The water surface reflects the trees. A wonderful place on earth!

Dionys I was at Dead Vlei last October and I would have never guessed it ever saw water. Amazing! Your timing was ideal. You've captured the event so well. Your entire desert series is truly exceptional.
