dave_holland 0 Posted June 5, 2006 Great pic, Gaetan. Ryan, think of the moon as though it were in full sunlight. After all, it is! You remember the sunny f-16 rule for exposure of normal pics. For the moon, an f-11 modification works pretty well. At f-11, use a shutter speed that is close to the ISO of the film. So for ISO of 400, f-11, shoot at close to 1/400, rounding off to the nearest choice as needed. You should bracket, but this gets you into the right ballpark. Most automatic meters screw this up and overexpose dramatically. Clear skies and happy shooting. Dave Link to comment
