kslonaker 0 Posted June 2, 2006 It would be nice to have a different hummingbird drop by, but this little guy just loves to sit and pose for me, so how can I resist?! Comments? Link to comment
glogower 0 Posted June 2, 2006 Nicely done, I like how the moss and branch add an in camera frame. Link to comment

jnicholson 0 Posted June 5, 2006 It's nice to see a picture of a perched hummingbird. The detail in the bird is very nice. I like the background here too. I could do without the rope thingy but it is kind of interesting the way it intersects the branch. Also, it may be a silly thing to notice but I like the way the angle of the bird matches the angle of the small broken off branch closest to the bird. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted June 5, 2006 Thanks, guys. Jamie, the "rope thingie" is actually Spanish Moss and that was one of the reasons I liked this particular shot - it kind of framed the bird. Most of my hummer shots ARE perched - these buff-bellied hummers like to do that a lot. In flight, they move a whole lot faster than I can press the camera button! :) Link to comment
bryan olesen 0 Posted June 5, 2006 I like the background also, but wasn't too sure about the hanging moss until you mentioned that it is framing the bird. Yeah, I guess it's growing on me the more I look. Just need that one strand removed that "touches" it's head IMO. Link to comment
jasonwilliamsphotography 0 Posted June 9, 2006 Nice shot, great details and composition! It is definitely hard to find them standing still! Link to comment
