I expect you must feel very pleased to get something this good from an airliner. Most of the shots I get look awful.

King Crimson is one of my favorites and this image (of course I push the colors) fits both 'In the Court of Crimson King' and 'Islands' quite well IMO. Thanks again for visiting.

 

Ahhh, d200... I can't get one now, but am on a waiting list for when the next wave comes in.

Now, you need to go do this again and just get that island(?) at the bottom, all alone, surrounded by the red. Alex says to just hire a helicopter !

Wake of Posdidon, Lizard & Starless & Bible Black my particular favourites from my early days at Art college. Instantly could see the connection with Islands as well. Thanks for pointing me in this direction. Another astounding shot, very well composed. Sam Francis, Klein and possibly a touch of one of my hero's Rothko (along with Bob Fripp). Stunning. Title is what the band were called when they played in the college bar. Saw them in '70' for equivelent of 50c.
