Sorry I can't help you, but what a great picture, Donna! That background really enhances the dragonfly's colors. Perfect DOF, too.

I too can' tell you which one it is ... but I can tell you it's a lovely photo. the background - whatever it is - brings out the creature. Very nice.

Bente and Kim, thanks for stopping by. . . I took this shot near a swimming pool and caught the blue tile in the background. . a little unusual for a nature backdrop but it seems to work. . .

 

Kevin, thanks for the ID, I think you're right. . .couldn't find this one in my bug book. . . most of the dragonflies I see around here are blue darners. . .
