kslonaker 0 Posted June 1, 2006 Sorry I can't help you, but what a great picture, Donna! That background really enhances the dragonfly's colors. Perfect DOF, too. Link to comment
bentes_world 0 Posted June 1, 2006 I too can' tell you which one it is ... but I can tell you it's a lovely photo. the background - whatever it is - brings out the creature. Very nice. Link to comment
kevin cassar 0 Posted June 1, 2006 I may be wrong but I think this is a Swift Setwing (Dythemis Velox). Check out these links http://www.imunu.com/SwiftSetwing_1.html and http://www.imunu.com/SwiftSetwing_2.html Hope I solved your identity problem and by the way GREAT SHOT!!!. Link to comment
donnaalbers 0 Posted June 1, 2006 Bente and Kim, thanks for stopping by. . . I took this shot near a swimming pool and caught the blue tile in the background. . a little unusual for a nature backdrop but it seems to work. . . Kevin, thanks for the ID, I think you're right. . .couldn't find this one in my bug book. . . most of the dragonflies I see around here are blue darners. . . Link to comment
