Because you seem fixated on posting this particular bird shot (or one like it) I can't tell if you were heeding my advice or not to 'beware of your background' but you have improved it considerably from what you sent me, and I think the rates show it.

Whether this is a later capture from a 'C' (continuous) sequence shot the same time as the other, or simply you went out and reshot it, it shows considerably more skill and maturity, at least in choice for posting.

Here the bird has nothing to muddy the background and stands (flies) alone as a 'V' shape -- literally a triangle, which is a very interesting and dynamic shape and you caught the wings very well.

In fact, given your chosen vantage, I can't see any other way that you might have 'shot' this 'Tit' other than moving around the 'yard' or field or whatever, since here you effectively have 'isolated' it by clearing space around it, making for the best possible exposition for this particular subject from that vantage.

I hope my critiques have helped; the scores (if I understand the scores from the previous posting) seem to have improve considerably, and higher scores are well-deserved.

Congratulations.

All your other shots and postings now are sure to improve as well, and you now 'OWN' that skill (of choosing your background) as your personal treasure.

No ...I dont think so ...I re-submitted this shot (for only the second time) in order to judge the response following some work in PhotoShop to improve the background in line with John Crosley's comments for which I am grateful... It is exactly the same shot with part of the background removed and a new sky added ..I seperated the birds wing from roof of the nesting box by cropping that back and I think the image is much improved (as the new ratings suggest)
