Spotted at the Collingwood Shipyards, Collingwood, On. after the

yards were closed but before the demolition was complete. The B&W

version in my "20th Century" folder is NOT the same shot; look

closely. (kinda like a 'Where's Waldo' puzzle). Your

comments\critiques will be gratefully received. Best, LM.

Great composition and colur Len! I also like the starburst sun..controlled by aperture? I wondr if an ND grad, had they been widely available then, might have allowed lighter exposure in the grass? Having fun with that scanner?

Greg, The sunburst star effect was indeed due to the small aperture (f16 or f22). I was looking for high drama & am quite satisfied with the result. A ND grad filter would have allowed more detail in the foreground but at the expense of the current impact. Not sure I would have considered using one even if I had one (& the drive to dig it out of the bag to use it:-) Best, LM.

This star is the sun. So, in a way, it's biblical. :-) Freshly viewed it looks a bit overdone. Perhaps I'll try a new scan & see what I can come up with. Best, LM.

Thanks to some new Vuescan software & hopefully improved PS skills, I've rescanned this one & a few others I took at this location back in the summer of '85. A better redition? That's for YOU to decide. Best, LM.
