steve_patterson 0 Posted May 30, 2006 Late afternoon, a storm coming in, the whole scene felt strange and vaguely thrilling. Anyway, this was the result. Comments welcome. Steve Link to comment
roscotboswell 0 Posted May 30, 2006 Despite the blown-out highlights and the lack of shadow detail, I still like the feel of this shot. It has a very 60's mood, enhanced by the graininess. I do wish the car on the bottom right wasn't chopped by the frame as it's a bit distracting, but I do like the pic. Good work! Link to comment
graham boyd 0 Posted May 30, 2006 You caught it, great shot. Would be nice if the car were vintage like the truck, but reality gives what it gives. Nice one. Link to comment
pressuredbyphotons 5 Posted May 30, 2006 An image filled with nostalgia, it certainly has appeal. I think the composition is a bit off balance, there are two areas of competing highlights. My own take on this would be to move more towards the right and point back to the left. Eliminate the hot spot on the right and the newer sedan, leaving the old truck and that negative space on the left to help isolate the truck further. If you put your hand up to the screen and block out right hand side from just behind the rear wheel you will see what I mean. Just my $0.02 worth of soap boxing. Link to comment
