kslonaker 0 Posted May 27, 2006 Did a high contrast, quadtones on this one. Does it work or not? Comments are welcome. Thanks! Link to comment
briant 0 Posted May 27, 2006 I dont think it does -not for me anyway It's a fine /well captured photo- I'd like to see it in normal mode. Link to comment

MichaelChang 12 Posted May 27, 2006 Pretty nice, Kim. I wouldn't have thought of this treatment given the quality of the original. I would consider a border for the top slat so the sign (behind the left boy's head) doesn't appear to be hanging in mid-air. Link to comment
someoneelse 1 Posted May 28, 2006 very nice..... I did see Howard Dion influence....... nice place PN.... we learn from eo Els Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted May 28, 2006 Good point, Michael. I will go back and work with this one a bit more. I was trying different things with this shot of my two grandsons. Thanks for the comments, everyone. Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted May 28, 2006 My husband thought I should have removed the sign behind Sean's head, but you can make out the words "He loved.....children". I thought that was kind of cool and very subtle. Link to comment
donnaalbers 0 Posted June 5, 2006 Hi Kim, I really like this. . . nice relaxed pose and good composition ( I like the way they're angled away from each other) . . the high key effect is perfect here. . . though I'm not sure about the sign. . Link to comment
dave_dube 10 Posted June 11, 2006 If there is a negative, I guess it would be the sign and the lost border of the top board. My thought is if you define the top of the upper slate, the sign will work nicely. Your Matte/frame work perfectly - GREAT JOB! Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted June 11, 2006 I really do need to rework this one and put the top part of the bench back in. One of those "rainy day" projects, I guess. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted July 1, 2006 Let me take care of that missing tag for you....There we go! Now ... I LOVE this image!! And I can imagine what it looked like before Michael got at it. The two little guys are adorable, and seem keyed into the same thing that they're watching very intensely!! You made a GREAT choice for high-key and did a great job with it. Gosh, they're cute. Grandsons? Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted July 1, 2006 Lou Ann, you are seeing the original posting - I haven't had time to rework this one yet. Yes, these are my two grandsons. Another grandchild is due in September - odds are it will be a boy, too (I had four sons and no daughters!). I don't care either way - just want another healthy, happy baby! Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted July 1, 2006 WOW ... you are right on my tail. Then I'll have to correct my statement ... I don't see the marker hanging in space ... it looks like it's on the top slat. But MC has better eye than I do any day. :-) Link to comment
