dk. 0 Posted May 27, 2006 Nice shot Neil, I like it the only thing I wish was different was the background. I think if you had my 70-200mm F2.8L IS lens this shot taken at f2.8 would have taken care of the background for you. Still its a nice one. :o) DK. Link to comment
namurray 0 Posted May 28, 2006 Thanks very much for the comment David. I agree, the background detracts very much on this one. Unfortunately I couldn't crop it out without ruining the composition. I should have moved further back along the track so that the angle didn't include the pole and car. I shot this at 235 mm so I still had plenty to play with on my 100-400mm. Oh well, I'll know better next time. Kind regards, Neil Link to comment
gianpaolodettoma 0 Posted May 29, 2006 You really caught the right moment. The guy will hate you for having taken him in such and odd position. Pity for the car behind Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted May 31, 2008 Can you imagine the strain and pressure in the leg she is landng on. How much does a horse weight ... 500 kg or something and it's definitely a multiple g shock making it tons. I wouldn't want to be her doing all the running for the jockey :))) Great action shot. namurray 0 Posted June 1, 2008 Thanks for your comments Juha. Hurdling and steeplechasing are tough on the horses. That's why they brought in the plastic hurdles here in Australia - added safety for jockey and horse. Neil Link to comment
