Buenos Aires, Argentina is beautiful and a democracy (now), and is

haunted by a period when generals threw 'opposition' (some 30,000)

from airplanes over the Atlantic after torture. More recently, this

journalist, in 1996, shown by his eyes from his press card, was

found burned to death in a car after taking a long series of photos,

the contents of which have never been and may never be revealed.

Argentines blame the 'Mafia' by which they mean some sort

of 'government' but not the government in power now, a Peronist

government. Your comments and critiques are invited and most

welcome. If you rate harshly or very critically, please submit a

helpful and constructive comment; please share your superior

knowledge to help improve my photography (this was a 'street' photo,

not planned in advance -- something I came across). Thanks!

Enjoy! John (Crosley)

I agree.

When I came across it, I didn't know what it meant, and it still was haunting.

Now I know the story.

Thanks for the comment.

The date of the burning was in 1997, not 1996, as stated in error above. Date supplied by an Argentinian friend whom I trust.
