davidmccracken 2 Posted May 24, 2006 All that glistens is not gold but it still can look pretty good! Nothings moving so I chose to put it in 'still life.' Feedback appreciated. Should there be anyone looking for my more daring work, you can always do a search for me on photopoints or photosig where I have uploaded some new images along with some of my deleted images. I am sure to be uploading more soon. Link to comment

peacecheck 0 Posted May 24, 2006 I like the change in style but, you have alway been innovative in your work. Well done and thanks for sharing. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted May 25, 2006 Sebastian, I must have done something right. Your comment echoes my own thoughts and reason for posting it. Thanks a lot. David, I don't think I have a style David and so I don't see the 'change' you mention. I am not sure if this is too innovative (perhaps thats what you were saying) but I do actually like it myself. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Link to comment
eimages 0 Posted May 25, 2006 I like this very much, good eye in catching the lights. I love rain and reflecting lights, this is very well done. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted May 26, 2006 Thanks for the comment. This was taken over 4 years ago. The amount of rain we have had here in Hong Kong in the last week would have given me lots of opportunities to take more photographs like this. Alas! I didn't. Link to comment
John Peri 1,029 Posted May 27, 2006 Yes David, good. I always liked abstract work, I don't feel that enough people appreciate the possibilities that it offers in photography. Photo manipulation is another potential goldmine and there is no reason why the purists should feel threatened by it. When Yoko Ono throws eggs and marshmallows onto a canvas, it does not threaten painting in anyway. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted May 28, 2006 Thanks for the comment here although I am confused by part of it. I too like abstracts and it is something I want to do more of. Maybe you have encouraged me to do so. Photo manipulation is something I doing more and more of although this particular image is unmanipulated. (That was the bit that was confusing me.) I never knew Yoko Ono threw eggs and marshmallows at canvas. However, I do think eggs can be turned into art by the process known as baking a cake. I have to confess however, that I have no idea about marshmallows. Link to comment
